Moisture and humidity sensors
Moisture sensors: used to measure the amount of moisture in a material. It will produce a signal depending on how wet the surroundings are.
Where can moisture sensors be used: -irrigation system, to check the water concentration in soil, farmers can use an automated system that will water the crops is the moisture level is too low and alert when level is too high.
Humidity sensors: used to measure the amount of moisture and water vapour in the air, along with the temperature. Another name for it is a hygrometer.
Where can humidity sensors be used: -used in greenhouses to control heat -air conditioning system -for recording weather
